The other day, I saw a video two girls made for their mom. When they were little, they were in their car someplace, I believe a cabin.... Anyway, the car started rolling towards a cliff. Their mom jumped in front of the car to slow it down. She succeeded enough to have their grandpa or someone run up and pull the emergency brake. They kids were saved, but their mom was paralyzed from the waist down, maybe. I can't remember all the details, but I do recognize a hero. If you look closely, you'll see that all mothers are heroes. I know my mom is one. When my great aunt Judy passed away, she just kept going. She knew that we would see Judy again. Every now and then, I start to cry from our loss. I know the truth, that we'll see Judy again, but there's a terrible hole in my heart that can't be filled. Each time, as I start to feel that all is lost, I feel my mom's love. It's always there, but at the right moment, that love, no matter where your mom is, she sends her love to you. If you open your spiritual eye, you see waves of love, radiating off each mom. And every now and then, there are little acts of courage. Little acts of love. From simply cooking to sacrificing walking, mothers are there for you. Always.
There's only one thing to say. It may be short, but it's true. Every word.
Mom, I love you.
As kids, we always do. You may not see us say it openly, but it's true.
Mothers everywhere, know that we, your kids, young and old, are here for you. Know that we love you.
And that will never change.
So, from kids and adults everywhere, Happy Mother's Day.
Continue your brave acts moms. Silent, courage, beautiful acts of love. For you are the heros of our world.
And you are the light of our lives. Shine on, be the angels you truly are.
