The End of the Beginning

Friday was the last performance of Sussical Jr. Oh,  I don't know what to think! I'll miss practicing with my friends..... But I'll be glad for the extra time and space. This is the only thing I hate about plays; you are always sad when they end.  Well,  that and sometimes it's annoying that you have the songs stuck in your head,  for life. I just loved being part of the play. I know this sounds corny,  but try it. Join a play in your community or school. You'll have a TON of fun, plus you'll make some new friends, maybe get to know some old friends better. You'll learn about yourself too.  The guy who played Horton the elephant was shy and quiet at first. During the play,  he became bold and surprised everyone. He rocked his songs! I know that I'm not quite as shy about singing anymore. I mean,  I sing at home all the time. But believe it or not,  but I actually feel a bit shy singing in front of people. Even if other people are singing. So join a play,  get to know yourself and others better. I can't quite explain the feeling, so try it for yourself and you'll know what I mean.
Being in a play is something you'll NEVER forget.
